Brief History of Kinsel System
The original idea for the Kinsel System was developed in Chicago during the mid 1990's. Old warehouses, located just west of downtown, were being converted into loft apartments, drawing young professionals back into the city. High ceilings, exposed beams and open floor plans proved to be a winning formula for urban renewal. Working with clients in those settings, I saw the need for a product which would allow loft owners to partition their space without putting up permanent walls. I searched for such a product but never found what I was looking for. A few years ago I was paging through my design notebooks and came across my original sketches. Over the past two years, I have developed the original idea into a building block system for use in Interior Architecture. Now, in addition to room partitions, design professionals can create work stations, libraries, floor to ceiling storage units, entertainment centers, closet systems, etc.. Our unique fastening system allows customers to move, reconfigure and expand their system over time. I invite you to review our website and contact us to learn how Kinsel System can work for you!
